About The Band
Fortissimo are an 18 piece big band based in the Peterborough area, under the leadership of Alan Colbran.
They have been gigging in the local area for some years now and can tailor their program for formal concert settings, weddings, parties, 40s nights etc.
Charts range from the 1920s onwards with the majority falling into the classic big band sound of the 40s. More “up-to-date” pieces are also given the swing band treatment, because, as the song rightly says, “it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing!”
Fortissimo are lucky enough to have both a female and male vocalist, who, between them, cover any style, whether it be latin, jive, blues or ballad.
The band pride themselves on helping make fundraising events a success and are able to negotiate a reduced rate for a good cause.

Basic Requirements:
Any venue, inside or out, must be big enough to accommodate the full band. We will need at least 8 chairs without arms.
A power supply near the band is a must.
Performance Duration:
Concert style gigs usually consist of two 45 minute sets with an interval.
Dances/Parties can be more flexible, with up to three 1 hour sets if required.

We can provide a basic poster/flyer, which can be adapted to suit your function.
